Resources Website
This website was developed to provide a variety of information useful
to minority, women and emerging small businesses in the AEPT fields.
It's initial focus is on Architecture and Engineering. Contracting
opportunities, professional associations, educational opportunities
and business loans are some of the types of information available.
The site includes a directory listing all of the architectural and
engineering MWESB firms in Oregon.
Providence Health and Services - Oregon,
I.S. Department, wanted to redesign their Intranet site with
users in mind - all Providence employees in the Oregon Region. After
in-depth interviews with representative staff and an independent
heuristic evaluation of the current site, D. L. Cohen Information
Services provided guidelines and recommendations for site content
and information architecture.
Mercy Corps, Inc.
D. L. Cohen Information Services conducted a comprehensive needs assessment as a
foundation for an organizational Intranet.
Chris Olson
& Associates contracted with D. L. Cohen Information Services
to join a team developing a prototype knowledge and records management
website for the second largest nickel mining company in the world.
The website combined into a unified interface internal company documents,
external research databases, access to the services of the company's
reference librarians as well as up-to-date industry news along with
other opportunities for sharing knowledge.
Oregon
Literacy, Inc. supports adult literacy efforts statewide. D.
L. Cohen Information Services developed a new website focused on
the training needs of OLI's volunteers. This site offers a virtual
catalog of resources so that tutors and other volunteers will be
able to expand and enhance their impact. A Training Events and Registration
database allows volunteers to find and register for workshops throughout
the state.
D. L. Cohen Information Services
was contracted by the State of Oregon Department of Land Conservation
and Development to create two websites: the comprehensive
Ocean-Coastal Management Program website and the Natural
Hazards Program site. Services included facilitating
meetings to determine appropriate site content, developing site
information architecture, and conducting usability testing. [Disclaimer

its web presence]
Donna Cohen took a group of very busy professionals and
skillfully and tactfully guided them through the demanding process
of defining and creating a web presence. She drew diverse knowledge
from this group and molded it into an informative site that well

D. L. Cohen Information Services was the content consultant for
OSLIS, the Oregon School Library Information
System and coordinated the activities of 10 school librarians
statewide in a yearlong effort to update and upgrade the OSLIS website.
OSLIS is now being administered by the University of Washington's
iSchool.
D. L. Cohen Information Services worked
with Hewlett-Packard to assist the Imaging
and Printing Division's Research Alliance staff in creating a unified
Intranet site. Services rendered included facilitating content development
with staff and providing models for site architecture.
